I’ve long held an interest for art. It all started when I, as a child, watched my brother draw, which inspired me to start drawing comic book characters myself. Over time, I moved on to hyperrealistic portraits, often using photographs by Steve McCurry as references. At the same time, I began exploring watercolor, even though I was still searching for my own artistic voice.

During my architecture studies in Umeå, I was introduced to life drawing for the first time. This sparked a strong interest in late 19th-century painting and artists such as John Singer Sargent, Anders Zorn, Bastien-Lepage, and Bouguereau. From there, I began studying watercolor more seriously and continued to develop my drawing skills through life drawing courses. I then applied to the Nyckelviksskolan in Stockholm to learn more about artistic expression. At the same time, I took figure drawing classes at Konstfack and attended courses in drawing and painting with a teacher trained in Florence and St. Petersburg.

Today, I remain deeply committed to my watercolor painting while also developing my oil painting. My goal is to create paintings that appear abstract up close but take on a realistic quality from five steps away.
